The Vermont Mortgage Bankers Association says the number of people more than 30 days late on their payments, rose three percent in the third quarter. And the number of foreclosure proceedings has risen by a half-point. Officials say the numbers are a reflection of the recession. But they also say it's not as bad in Vermont as in other parts of the country. -- end --
